Alleged Terrorism: What happened in South East moments after court discharged Nnamdi Kanu can be read below.

News ToGo learned that the Court of Appeal had discharged and acquitted Kanu of the terrorism charges filed against him by the Federal Government. That development generated different reactions from Nigerians in various places.

In the South East part of the country where Kanu hails from, wild jubilation was witnessed after the news of his discharge and acquittal broke. Kanu’s supporters and admirers in various towns in the South East could not hide their joy after that historic judgment setting free.

Some youths in some parts of Anambra State were seen jubilating as they celebrate Kanu’s court victory. According to a report by Daily Posts, some youth and other people in Amawbia, a town in Anambra State, were seen rejoicing. Similarly, some drivers and other people around a motor Park at UNIZIK junction were celebrating while drinking alcohol after the news of the Court of Appeal judgment trickled in.

Apart from Anambra State, the same scenario was witnessed in some other cities and states in South East including Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia and Imo States. Many residents rejoiced after the news filtered in that Kanu was discharged and acquitted by the Court of Appeal.

It would be recalled that Justice Oludotun Adefope-Okojie, of the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, earlier on Thursday upheld the appeal of the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra. The court also discharged and acquitted Kanu of terrorism charges filed against him. It added that his forceful and illegal detention made the federal government incompetent to try him of terrorism.

BREAKING: NUPENG Orders Tanker Drivers, Petrol Attendants, Others To Join Nationwide Strike

NUPENG has ordered tanker drivers, petrol attendants, and others to join nationwide strike.

News ToGo reports that as preparations intensify for the nationwide strike scheduled for October 3, the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) issued a directive for its members to ensure full compliance.

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) jointly declared the strike.

In particular, NUPENG has instructed members, including Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD), Petrol Stations Workers (PSW), Liquefied Petroleum Gas Retailers (LPGAR), and all other workers involved in the petroleum products distribution chain, to adhere to the strike starting from midnight on Tuesday, October 3rd.
