BREAKING: Aisha Buhari's Critic Released From Prison, See How He Looks (PHOTOS)

Aisha Buhari‘s critic, Aminu Muhammad, has been released from prison.

News ToGo gathered some photos of Aminu Muhammad, a student of Federal University Dutse (FUD) after he was released. He arrested for criticizing Aisha, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Muhammad is a final-year student of the Department of Environmental Management. He was set free on Friday evening. Security operatives arrested him on November 18 over a tweet that appeared to mock Aisha.

The tweet posted in Hausa in June 2022 reads: “Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi”. It was accompanied by a photo of Aisha, loosely translates as “Mama has eaten poor people’s money and is now full”.

He was later arraigned on a one-count charge by the police before a federal capital territory (FCT) high court on November 30.

Muhammad’s arrest elicited harsh reactions as many Nigerians criticized the first lady for what they described as “oppression and intimidation”.

Aisha withdrew the suit against him on Friday following the outrage that greeted his arrest and arraignment.

JUST IN: TB Joshua's Emmanuel TV Channel Removed

YouTube has removed the primary channel associated with the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua—Emmanuel TV.

News ToGo reports that the channel, which broadcasts the religious activities of the church, was taken down following allegations against the late preacher. This action comes after the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) aired controversial documentary reports about allegations of torture and rape linked to TB Joshua.

The termination of Emmanuel TV’s channel on YouTube is a response to the platform’s policies against hate speech, cyberbullying, and harassment, particularly targeting survivors of sexual violence. The move follows openDemocracy’s report on more than 50 abusive videos amplifying attacks against Joshua’s accusers.

The documentary by BBC World Service, in collaboration with openDemocracy, featured whistleblowers who made on-the-record allegations of sexual and psychological torture, financial fraud, and criminal negligence by Joshua. In a disturbing backlash, YouTube accounts promoting SCOAN shared archival video footage depicting experiences of these abuse survivors, leading to the termination of Emmanuel TV’s channel.
