BREAKING: Unknown Gunmen Fire Shots To Enforce Sit-At-Home

Unknown gunmen are firing sporadic shots to enforce Sit-At-Home order.

News ToGo learned that the Unknown Gunmen are carrying out the act in the South East part of the country. The order warned residents not to come out for a number of days.

Residents of Enugu State are in panic on Wednesday as unknown gunmen moved round many parts of the State to enforce the one-week sit-at-home declared by the Simon Ekpa-led faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The gunmen shot sporadically at the New Market axis of the State, Artisan, Emene, New Haven, Abakpa, Agbani Road and NOWAS. The gunmen, who had their faces covered with masks, were reported to have operated in a Siena vehicle, as well as tricycles.

Many parents were in panic while trying to go and pick up their children from their schools. Some rushed to pick their kids, others were making frantic calls to the school management to ensure their children’s safety.

A joint team of the Army and the Police are said to be on chase of the gunmen. A helicopter was also seen hovering around major parts of the State. All the banks, other businesses and schools who earlier opened for the day’s activities have abruptly shut down.

A similar thing happened in Ebonyi State yesterday when Unknown Gunmen stormed the street to enforce the order. They shot sporadically and later burnt some properties including the ones belonging to the police.

BREAKING: NUPENG Orders Tanker Drivers, Petrol Attendants, Others To Join Nationwide Strike

NUPENG has ordered tanker drivers, petrol attendants, and others to join nationwide strike.

News ToGo reports that as preparations intensify for the nationwide strike scheduled for October 3, the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) issued a directive for its members to ensure full compliance.

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) jointly declared the strike.

In particular, NUPENG has instructed members, including Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD), Petrol Stations Workers (PSW), Liquefied Petroleum Gas Retailers (LPGAR), and all other workers involved in the petroleum products distribution chain, to adhere to the strike starting from midnight on Tuesday, October 3rd.
