Ice Prince Lands In Trouble For Allegedly Abducting Police Officer, Threatening To Throw Him Into River

Ice Prince, a popular Nigerian Rapper, has landed in trouble for allegedly abducting a police officer and threatening to throw him into the river.

News ToGo learnt that Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince Zamani has been arrested for allegedly abducting a police officer.

This was confirmed by the Police Command spokesperson, Ben Hundeyin, on Friday.

Hundeyin narrated the incident that led to Ice Prince’s arrest on his verified Twitter handle.

“At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates.

“He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river.

“He has been arrested and would be arraigned today,” Hundeyin wrote.

Ice Prince rose to fame after releasing “Oleku”, one of Nigeria’s most remixed songs of all time. He also won the 2009 Hennessy Artistry Club Tour.

BREAKING: Basketmouth And His Wife End Their Marriage

Basketmouth and his wife have ended their marriage.

News ToGo learned that the popular comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, made the announcement on Thursday.

He made his breakup with his wife, Elsie Okpocha public via his social media handle. Recall that Basketmouth had earlier celebrated Elsie’s 44th birthday anniversary around September but failed to celebrate their annual wedding anniversary which usually comes up in November.

Taking to his verified social media to announce their divorce, Basketmouth wrote, “As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.

“After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.

“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need. We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times. Thank you,” he said.

He did not give further details concerning the divorce. His announcement has been generating mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media and beyond. However, Basketmouth would love their privacy to be respected as he appealed in the announcement which he made earlier about the breakup.

BREAKING: D’banj Finally Opens Up On N-power Fraud Allegation

D’banj has finally opened up on N-power fraud allegation.

News ToGo learned that the Nigerian singer, Oladapo Oyebanji, popularly known better as D’banj, has called on the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to carry out its investigation thoroughly. He also urged the general public to avoid the urge to buy into media sensationalism.

The singer lamented that the media has been awash with reports of him being in ICPC’s custody concerning unestablished allegations of fraud. He said it has become crucial to make a statement for clarity and to set public records straight. This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Maryam El-Yakub Musa, the legal adviser to D’banj.

Recall that ICPC on Wednesday confirmed the arrest and detention of D’Banj, over the investigation of fraud associated with the N-Power Programme.

However, D’banj said he has no contractual or incidental relationship whatsoever with any group or persons within or outside the Government.

Part of the statement read: “It is instructive to state foremost that the report concerning the arrest and detention of Mr Daniel Oladapo Oyebanjo is misconceived, malicious and prejudicial to the justice system anywhere in the world, and we would advise that the general public be well guided.

“For the record, D’banj has no such contractual or incidental relationship whatsoever with any group or persons within or outside the Government in relation to the disbursement, operations, access or control of the operation of any government fund through an agency or its subsidiaries.

“D’banj has encouraged the Commission to carry out its investigation thoroughly to ensure that characters attempting to bring him into such ridiculous activities must be brought to book.
