Popular Pastor Lands In Hospital, Begs Nigerians

Popular Pastor has landed in hospital after falling sick.

News ToGo reports that the popular pastor is receiving treatment over an undisclosed sickness. The founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, disclosed his sick condition on his social media. He went ahead to beg Nigerians to pray for him.

The clergy shared a photo of himself on a hospital bed via his official Facebook page on Thursday. Apostle Chnyere captioned the post, “Please put me in your prayers,”.

The disclosure gained the attention of many of his followers online. A good number of his followers took to the comment section to pray for him. The apostle, renowned for his philanthropy, has been in the news recently over his reported move to abandon some of his beneficiaries, including those on scholarships abroad.

Two former security guards known as Happy Boys, who were on an OPM scholarship to Cyprus, had dragged the clergyman on social media for allegedly abandoning them. He has, however, denied the allegations, saying Happy Boys were only asked to relocate to either Nigeria or the Republic of Benin to continue their education.

Take a minute to also wish him a quick recovery so that he can continue to do his work. Remember that he begged for the prayers of Nigerians.

JUST IN: TB Joshua's Emmanuel TV Channel Removed

YouTube has removed the primary channel associated with the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua—Emmanuel TV.

News ToGo reports that the channel, which broadcasts the religious activities of the church, was taken down following allegations against the late preacher. This action comes after the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) aired controversial documentary reports about allegations of torture and rape linked to TB Joshua.

The termination of Emmanuel TV’s channel on YouTube is a response to the platform’s policies against hate speech, cyberbullying, and harassment, particularly targeting survivors of sexual violence. The move follows openDemocracy’s report on more than 50 abusive videos amplifying attacks against Joshua’s accusers.

The documentary by BBC World Service, in collaboration with openDemocracy, featured whistleblowers who made on-the-record allegations of sexual and psychological torture, financial fraud, and criminal negligence by Joshua. In a disturbing backlash, YouTube accounts promoting SCOAN shared archival video footage depicting experiences of these abuse survivors, leading to the termination of Emmanuel TV’s channel.
